Why Are Guys Still Wearing White Dress Shoes to Clubs - Its almost December!!
|
There has to be a rule against wearing white dress shoes in the winter months. They say you shouldn't wear white after labor day, and I couldn't agree more. However to the best of my knowledge (which is not that much on the topic), that rule only applies to pants (especially denim, if you wear white denim then you ARE a loser, end of discussion). I am not sure if it applies to shoes, but just in case, I would like to point out that white dress shoes is a big NO after labor day as well.
SUMMER IS OVER!! I know it's hard, I love my white dress shoes to, and I HATE shoe shopping! Most of the time, I just know what color I want, look for the best deal, buy them, then i'm out like a thief in the night. But at least I have colors that are IN SEASON. If money is your problem, no worries, your shoes don't have to be Hugo Boss, just go to the nearest Aldo, or transit and grab a pair on sale, or from last season for $30.00 to $50.00 and well worth the investments. Besides shoe styles do change seasonally, but not dramatically like shirts, so usually last season is ok.
If you do have money, then your problem is that you have no sense of style what so ever. If this fits your description then consider this a valuable style tip, and heres a crash course.
As you can see, dress shoes do come in other color options. For Instance, Black Shoes, see below for photo
and Brown as well.
So now there are no excuses, you know of their existence. I would recommend black or brown shoes for club wear during the winter months, they match well with most fall/winter men's fashions.
However, the above rule, DOES NOT APPLY TO WHITE RUNNING SHOES. Be careful though, most nightclubs, especially in Toronto have strict dress codes about wearing runners inside their establishments, and will deny you entry. Style code usually rains supreme in Toronto clubs, so sometimes the rules can be bent for a nice pair of white Lacosse or puma's.
