Secret agent James Bond, also known as agent 007, is most likely the coolest film character that has ever lived!  You can also add cocktail inventing to a list of skills that include saving the world, killing people in really cool ways and somehow managing to persuade even the most beautiful women to sleep with him without little or no effort at all.  In fact the most unrealistic part of all the James Bond movie series is how easily he gets these women into bed.  It is impossible to believe that someone can be that cool!

Maybe it has something to do with the "Vesper", a cocktail invented by the spy himself.  How do you make a Vesper Martini you may ask?  The recipe was first introduced in the Casino Royale fim, and was recentally included in the newest addition to the James Bond series, Quantum of Solace.  The instructions are below.

In a deep champagne goblet, add
"3 measures of Gordon's Gin
1of Vodka
1/2 measure of Kina Lillet  (you can substitue vermouth cause this stuff is rare)
Shaken well until it is ice cold, and served with a large thin slice of lemon"
For a "Green Vesper" substitute absinthe for the Kina Lillet

But careful with this drink, its a STIFF one!  After all, just ask all the women in the Bond movies, perhaps we figured out James Bond's secret... Get them smashed!  Just check out the pick below for proof, look what happens to the girl from Quantum of Solace.
