RED BULL AIR RACE

The Red Bull Air Race World Championship will give people a opportunity to see some of the best race pilots compete in motor-sports events that will test their skills, speed and accuracy. Utilizing racing planes of the most lightwieght material, the pilots will navigate these fast machines of speed through a low-level aerial track complete with pylons at speeds of up to 370 km/h and withstanding 12G's of force. This event takes place in 6 cities across the world and wouldn't you know lucky o'le Windsor is one of them!!!

What basically happens is these 15 world-class pilots compete throughout their season in hopes of being crowned the "Red Bull Air Race World Champion" by flying as low as they can to the ground at neck-snapping speeds while attempting twists and turns that might make you want to look away at times....but don't look away too long! This is a great opportunity to get amazing shots of the coolest race planes in the world doing the cha-cha with large skyscrapers....it's a definite must see!!

Watching the races is what you go downtown Windsor to see (located on Riverside Drive and Oullette), but thats definitely not the only thing going on there. Thousands and thousands showed up last year and there were zero cars alowed in the downtown sector which allowed the butt-load of bars and restaurants the opportunity to extend or create patios that were larger then normal. Live music was going down all over the place along with drink specials all over and food/souvenier vendors set up at easy-to-access locations. It was such an amazing turn-out last year and people were pretty impressed so if you want to come see Windsor at it's best downtown then this is one event that won't leave you feeling bored or lonely!
