Event Review for MARK KNIGHT
at Sunnyside Pavilion

Mark Knight usually only makes it down to Toronto about two or three times a year. And seeing as he is one of my fav producers, I try and make it out whenever he’s in town.
Despite it being a gloomy rainy Sunday, I made it down to the Sunnyside Pavilion located in Toronto’s west end on the lakeshore. The event started around noon, but I didn’t arrive until about 8 or 9pm, which worked out pretty well as I arrived just as Mark took over the decks and the crowd was amped.
The event probably had around 400 – 500 people, which filled out the venue fairly well. The vibe was really good, as is usually the case with these sorts of events (underground house crowd).

Marks set was awesome to say the least, filled mainly with tech and deep house, typical Mark Knight style. One thing that I always say separates a good dj from a great dj, is crowd interaction, something Mark had plenty of. Everything from making eye contact with fans to taking requests to shaking hands to really getting into it himself, pumping his fists, playing air saxophone, etc.
All in all I have to give the event a two thumbs up despite the cruddy weather conditions. Mark Knight is definitely a dj to check out whenever he makes an appearance, and is always a producer to look to for new tracks.
