DJ STARSKI - FEATURE DJ
A veteran dj of the Toronto night club scene, DJ Starski has played most of the clubs in and around the GTA.
Starski aka Lucas Du'main, got his start as a runner up winner in the Atlantic Records/Kool DJ Red Alert mixtape contest in 1996. He then caught the attention of Toronto promoters Mass Appeal, who he worked with at Granite Lounge, X it, & The Guverment.
In 2000, he left Mass Appeal, and found a residency at the legendary Money Nite Club, where he stayed on and off for 5 years. The parties at Money were where he had made a name for himself.
In 2003, he was signed to Sound & Vision Entertainment. A company that put DJ Starski on radio. Playing live to air radio for both Flow 93.5 and Kiss 92.5. Where he played at Karma & Red Square. After putting in a lot of hard work, Starski won Soul Choice DJ of the Year for 2003. Since 2003, Starski has stayed in the mix in the cut throat Toronto club scene, where he continues to play out every week.
In late 2003, he was approached by his friend Troy Persaud to start an old school party called Reminisce. The concept was to take people back into time through music, to make them "Reminisce". If you would like to experience Reminisce, they happen every long weekend Sunday and have been going 5 years strong.
Currently, Starski has been producing remixes, mash ups, & blends, for the world famous Crooklyn Clan. His mixes can be heard in clubs and mix shows around the world. You can check them out at www.crooklynclan.net
